Hello Everyone,
We haven’t seen old skinny for a while. I thought it might be fun to see what he’s been up too. Also this is my 6th strip for the month of April.

Let me know what you think.

Hello Everyone! I’m in Indianapolis this week. So this is a long distance post! My apologies for the strip not getting done until Sunday. I think you will like this one though. I hope it’s worth the extra wait. This strip is based on a real life event. My dog is used to going on long walks when I take him out. Sometimes, it seems like he’s takes a pretty long time getting his business done. (My own fault I admit!) There have been a few times when I’m in a little bit of a rush to get to work and he seems to take an eternity to get finished.
Sometimes he will just look back at me as if to say: “Whatever.” Let me know what you think of the strip.

Our Burglar is still running around the neighborhood breaking into houses. Will our cast of characters ever catch him? Stay tuned and find out.
My regular Friday post may be pushed back to Saturday this week as I’m going to be out of town for a few days. However, if I can get it posted Friday I will.
Let me know what you think of this week’s strip.

This week’s episode is a little shout out to my bike patrol friends out there. For those of you who didn’t know, I used to be a bicycle cop before my promotion. I’d be a liar if I said this strip was not based on a real life experience. I still do some bicycle patrol training from time to time. In fact I’m going to be on two wheels again later this month as I attend the International Police Mountain Bike Association’s Police On Bikes Conference. By the way, It’s not all police. There are also EMS on bikes too.
On the P.I.G. Tales front I’m attempting to get 6 episodes completed and online this month. This is #2. My goal is to have Episode #52 online by the first week of July. I’ve got a little bit of catch-up to make this happen. I’d better get back to work.
Let me know what you think of the strip.

Wow. What a weekend. I went to Planet Comic Con in Overland Park, Kansas last weekend. My girlfriend and her two boys came along to help as I set up a table to market and get the work out about P.I.G. Tales. I was very busy talking with attendees, and drawing commission sketches for people. I have to say I really enjoyed this. By the end of the convention I could crank out a drawing quickly and with a good reasonable likeness. I drew P.I.G. Tales characters, X-Men, Sponge Bob, and even my friend; Mike Worley, who shared the table with me. I’m hopeful that there will be more successful events like this for us in the future.
There was a pretty big crowd of fans there. The walkway between tables was easily 12 feet and it was packed at the height of the convention. I got to see several local artists that I had not seen in several years. These included Barbie artist Anna Maria Cool, and Star Trek artist Rob Davis.
We conducted a raffle both days of the con in which people who signed up on our email list became registered to win a P.I.G. Tales T-shirt. The Saturday T-Shirt Winner was Amber Lawerence and the Sunday T-Shirt Winner was Trinity Weatherholt.
I prepared for the convention by reading up in the new book :” How To Make Webcomics” by webcomics masters Brad Guigar, Dave Kellett, Scott Kurtz, and Kris Straub. Also, I’ve been listening in on a Podcast on Itunes entitled : “Webcomics weekly”. This program provides some very helpful information in the area of webcomics.
I’m looking ahead to other conventions to market P.I.G. Tales. If there is one that any of you are familar with that in your opinion is a good one, please sound off and let me hear about it.
Until Next Time…..

Hello everyone. Have you gone through D.I.S.C. training? I got the opportunity to participate in it a few months ago. It’s interesting stuff. For those of you who are going “What the Heck? ” Here’s the wikipedia definition:
DISC is the four quadrant behavioral model based on the work of William Moulton Marston Ph.D. (1893 – 1947) to examine the behavior of individuals in their environment or within a specific situation. DISC looks at behavioral styles and behavioral preferences.
The assessments classify four aspects of behavior by testing a person’s preferences in word associations. DISC is an acronym for:
Dominance – relating to control, power and assertiveness.
Influence – relating to social situations and communication.
Steadiness (submission in Marston’s time)- relating to patience, persistence, and thoughtfulness.
Conscientiousness (or caution, compliance in Marston’s time) – relating to structure and organization.
These four dimensions can be grouped in a grid with D and I sharing the top row and representing extroverted aspects of the personality, and C and S below representing introverted aspects. D and C then share the left column and represent task-focused aspects, and I and S share the right column and represent social aspects. In this the vertical dimension represents a factor of “Assertive” or “Passive”, while the horizontal “Open” vs. “Guarded”.
There must be something to it because the guy who created it (William Moulton Marston ) also created Wonder Woman. Obviously the man was a genius on many levels!!
This weekend I’ll be at Planet Comicon in Overland Park, Kansas this weekend. Here’s their website: www.planetcomicon.com. If you’re in the neigborhood please come by the P.I.G. Tales booth and say hi. I’ll be meeting with readers, drawing convention sketches, and selling t-shirts.
Till next week…
